Terms and Conditions

1. Payment

All loose items (internal, external, or attached) are properly secured.1.1 Payment must be made in full at or prior to the time of delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1.2 Prior to unloading, the customer must inspect the vehicle and confirm satisfaction with the transport service by signing our company’s booking form.
1.3 All quoted prices are inclusive of all applicable fees. No additional charges, including GST, will be applied unless expressly stated in writing.
1.4 Quotes are based on fuel prices at the time of issue. In the event of a significant increase in fuel costs prior to collection, Get Carried reserves the right to adjust the quoted price upon providing notice to you the Customer.

2. Vehicle Condition and Contents.

 .1 Get Carried will take all reasonable care in transporting your vehicle, car parts or items, however, transport is undertaken at the customer’s risk except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
2.2 The Customer warrants that:

  • All loose items (internal, external, or attached) are properly secured.
  • The vehicle is in a safe and transportable condition; and
  • Any modifications comply with all applicable laws and safety standards.

2.3 Get Carried shall not be liable for:

  • Damage caused by unsecured items or components.
  • Pre-existing damage.
  • Mechanical or electrical failure.
  • Damage arising from illegal, defective, or unsafe modifications.

2.4 Any fragile or separate items transported with the vehicle must be appropriately packaged by the Customer. We accept no liability for damage caused by inadequate packaging.

2.5 We will endeavor to take a video and/or photographs of your vehicle on collection and delivery as evidence of any damage.

2.6 A signature is required on collection by sender and on delivery by the receiver.  This ensures that both the sender and the recipient are happy with our service and confirms collection / delivery.  

3. Insurance

3.1 Get Carried maintain insurance coverage as required by law; however, such insurance is subject to exclusions and limitations.
3.2 The Customer acknowledges that not all damage or loss may be covered under our insurance policy.
3.3 It is the Customer’s responsibility to obtain any additional insurance coverage deemed necessary.

4. Access and Scheduling

4.1 All collection and delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed; however, every attempt will be made to adhere to schedule.
4.2 We shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic, weather conditions, road closures, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
4.3 Where access to a nominated location is not possible, we reserve the right to nominate an alternative safe and accessible location for collection or delivery.

5. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 The Customer must ensure that:

  • The vehicle or item is available at the agreed time and location.
  • All documentation, including proof of ownership and release authority, is complete and accurate.
  • Vehicles purchased through auctions or third parties are fully paid for and ready for collection.
  • Your insurance policy is current.
  • All necessary documentation has been provided to us

5.2 We accept no responsibility for delays, additional costs, or failed collections resulting from the Customer’s failure to meet these obligations.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 All cancellations must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by us.
6.2 Cancellations made within five (5) days of the scheduled collection date will incur a cancellation fee of $250.
6.3 If the vehicle or item is not available at the scheduled collection time, Get Carried reserves the right to:

  • Charge a cancellation or rebooking fee; and/or
  • Recover any additional costs incurred; and/or
  • Charge the full price.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Get Carried’s liability for any loss or damage is limited to:

  • The cost of re-supplying the services; or
  • The reasonable cost of repairing the damage, as determined by our business.

7.2 Get Carried shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of income, profit, or opportunity.

7.3 Get Carried is not responsible for any damages not caused by ourselves or outside of our control.

8. Indemnity

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless our business and its employees, from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Customer.
  • Unsafe, illegal, or defective condition of the vehicle or item.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
